Based on our experience of working with businesses, BrightLaw knows the benefit to your business of putting in place the key legal documentation you need at the outset and taking ongoing advice on the best way to legally structure your business and trading activities to avoid costly issues in the future.

Initial Advice
As a business owner it is important to build a trusted circle of advisers so that you can discuss your new business ventures and opportunities and make sure you do not set off on the wrong track, which can then be difficult to change later on.  This circle should usually include a business accountant, a commercial bank manager, and an experienced business lawyer.

Our costs
BrightLaw wants to provide this ongoing support and advice but at a clear price. We will not be “starting the clock” every time you call to discuss your business plans or to bounce some ideas. Speak to us about whether an Annual Retainer will be suitable for your requirements, or if you have more specific contractual needs, in many cases we can offer you a fixed price and you will find our hourly rate is very competitive.  We can also offer discounts for volume work.

Documents
The reason many businesses do not have their own template contractual documents in place is the cost.  Every business has limited resources and legal agreements are often seen as something that can be left until later.

For this reason BrightLaw can offer shorter, simpler, cheaper forms of documentation for small and start-up businesses at a fixed cost, to provide the minimum level of legal protection whilst bearing in mind cost restraints.  As your business develops you will need to revisit these agreements and consider putting in place more comprehensive documentation.  We will therefore schedule a free 12 month review meeting to see how your business structure and requirements have progressed.
