Alex Chester’s legal career has been focussed in the South East since 1994 giving him an in depth knowledge of the local business market and strong connections within the business community.
Having been a Partner in two of the largest regional law firms before establishing BrightLaw he has extensive experience, expertise and knowledge acting for a range of businesses, from start-ups through to small-medium enterprises / owner managed businesses and on to large corporate entities and international groups.
Alex’s degree in Law and Computing has given him a sound foundation to specialise in computer software related agreements, new media businesses, intellectual property based businesses and e-commerce.
Whilst working with the Sussex Innovation Centre, Alex has lectured on intellectual property and commercial contract issues relevant to primarily new media and technology businesses and has gone on to advise member businesses.
Personal
Outside of work Alex’s main interests are Formula 1 and other forms of motorsport, go-karting, cars generally, the occasional bit of clay pigeon shooting, even more occasional skiing, beer and curry.
